Welcome to Wendi C. Smith Art
Visit my art studio and my oil paintings from Cape Cod and Florida. My style is "representational." Inspired by Mother Nature, I enjoy painting landscapes, seascapes, still lifes and nature's vignettes. I work en Plein Air and in my studio. I work with oils and soft pastels.
As a member of the Art Without Boundaries Assoc., I am a certified Mneme Therapist working to improve the lives of individuals affected with Alzheimer's disease, Autism and other disorders of the brain. MT enables to use my artistic abilities and my compassion for others to make a positive influence in people's lives.
This beautiful painting was created by my Cape Cod client Rosemary, age 86. She titled her painting "O Tannenbaum". She was so thrilled with our MT session that when she finished her painting she burst into song and with a lovely gospel voice sang all three verses of O' Tannenbaum. We were all amazed and touched deeply that day.
Rosemary's beautiful painting was used for her Assisted Living Residence's 2014 Christmas card. Both Rosemary and her family were very proud.
